Jamie Laplume,
General Manager
Jamie has been at 22 Bowen’s since 2001, and brings more than 18 years of hospitality experience to the table. He oversees the financial and day-to-day operations, including menu creation in collaboration with the chefs, overseeing layout and appearance, and creating a level of serving excellence as is standard at all Newport Restaurant Group restaurants.
A long-time hospitality veteran, Jamie first began his career working behind-the-scenes at The Chowder Bowl in Bellingham, MA, before moving to The Capital Grille in Providence. Jamie then gained experience by helping open a restaurant in North Palm Beach, FL.
Jamie stayed on as restaurant manager, splitting his time seasonally between Florida and Rhode Island, while also working as a manager at The Coast Guard House in Narragansett. Jamie currently resides in Narragansett with his wife Beth and their son, Alex.
