Rand Robison
Assistant General Manager

As Assistant General Manager, Rand Robison supports General Manager Jamie Laplume in overseeing the day to day activities of the restaurant, including financial operations, the 600-bottle award-winning wine list, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Prior to joining 22 Bowen’s, Rand worked as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for The Chanler at Cliffwalk, and was instrumental in the opening of hotel’s restaurant, The Spiced Pear. At that time, he was also a Hospitality Instructor at Johnson & Wales University, where he taught an array of curricula to students and coordinated special events for the University’s corporate sponsors, including Pepsi, Coors Brewing, and Ritz Carlton Hotels.

Before entering the restaurant scene in Newport, Rand earned a wealth of hospitality experience in Providence, most recently as General Manager at Café Nuovo. He also worked at the acclaimed Capriccio, where he served as Headwaiter, Captain, and finally Restaurant Manager.

A native of Michigan and a former member of the United States Navy, Rand received a degree in Business Administration from Bryant College. He currently resides in Middletown, RI, with his wife Heather and their sons Nico and Nolan.
